Gym inductions
If you are new to Hull Culture and Leisure facilities and wish to use one of our fitness suites, ensure that you visit our Gym Induction page before visiting.
The video will provide you with the essential information required to use our fitness suites. Should you require a more in-depth induction, ask at reception when you visit one of our leisure facilities.
Going swimming
During busy periods we will be operating a band system for swimmers with a 60-minute swim including changing time and that there could be a waiting time if our pools are at capacity. During busy periods there is strictly no diving or jumping into the main pool.
We ask all people going swimming to be considerate of others and to ensure that they have read the pool safety rules (which includes adult to junior ratios and our rules on behaviour in the pool). You can read the pool safety rules on the link below.
Woodford Leisure Centre has 3 pools, a Main pool, Teaching pool and Leisure Fun Pool. The Leisure Fun Pool features a wave machine, a slide, and water play activities, making it the perfect day out for families.
Booking a fitness class, aqua class or Disco Dive
Fitness classes, aqua classes and Disco Dive can be booked online, by telephone or in person at the reception. The easiest way to book is online and both members and non-members can book using the button below.
Booking is available up to eight days in advance for members and seven days in advance for non-members.
For non-members using our online portal, press the button below to register your details and pay for a casual session.
You can book by calling Woodford Leisure Centre reception on 01482 331 322. Please be advised that our telephone lines are exceptionally busy at the moment so we do suggest you book online.

Juniors and families can access the fitness suite at Woodford Leisure Centre.
Sauna and steam facilities
Our opening times are -
- Mondays 8am to 3pm and 3.30pm to 9pm
- Tuesday to Friday 7am to 3pm and 3.30pm to 9pm
- Weekends 8.30am to 3pm
The steam facilities are closed for cleaning from -
- 3pm to 3.30pm Monday to Friday
Customer Notice
Please be aware that the sauna is currently closed. The Woodford team is working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
The steam room remains open and available for customers to use during this time.

Woodford PlayZone
Open from Monday 7 September
Funded by the Football Foundation and Hull City Council, Woodford Leisure Centre is now host to a PlayZone. This 3G facility is perfect for people to enjoy a 5v5 match with your mates, book out for junior football or rugby training, or to participate in a variety of other sports and activities.
The PlayZone is a single 5v5 sized 3G football / rugby pitch and is accessible via Woodford Leisure Centre. Changing facilities including disabled changing places facilities are available within the Leisure Centre.
Booking Cost
Please note that bookings are per hour:
Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm - £22.50
Monday to Friday from 5pm to 9pm - £45
Weekends from 8am to 5pm- £45
Block bookings are available for up to 10 weeks.
