Get Active

The first step is a few steps. It's never too late to get active to improve your health. Get help and support at nhs.uk/BetterHealth

No matter how much you do, physical activity is good for your body and mind. Adults should aim to be active every day. Some is good – more is better still and if you can do up to half an hour each day then you're going amazing!

Below are some links to websites and webpages which will give you ideas on how to increase your physical activity levels -

Try It At Home - Hull Culture and Leisure has a variety of home workout videos designed by our fitness instructors. No special equipment is needed other than what you may find in your house and these videos give you ideas for core, cardio, strength and conditioning workouts.

Get Hull Active is the website resource for the 10-year Physical Health strategy for Hull. On this website you will find information on getting active, testimonials from Hull residents who have improved their health during the lockdowns and other resources including a pledge page where you can make your pledge on how you will help Get Hull Active.

NHS Get Active - The Get Active section of the NHS Better Health website has links to popular NHS apps including Couch to 5k, Active 10 as well as links to other fitness website resources.
