Support for Carers

Hull Carers can benefit from a Carers Card, which officially identifies them as a carer and that should be always carried. The card has two main purposes -

  • to notify emergency services that someone they are responsible for needs support, should something happen to the carer
  • discounted access to local health and wellbeing services, as well as with selected local shops and businesses

The Carers Card is administered by the City Health Care Partnership in partnership with Hull City Council Carers Information and Support Services team and designed to support unpaid carers.

City Health Care Partnership (link opens in a new window) Carers Card holders can benefit from a wide range of discounts from local businesses and Hull Culture and Leisure have joined the scheme to offer 20% off for pay and play swimming and 20% off Live It Fitness Memberships to Hull Carers carrying the Carers Card. This enables carers to have access to discounted health and wellbeing when not caring for a loved one.

Also, Hull Culture and Leisure have a Carers Go Free policy on all admissions when a Carer is accompanying the person they are caring for in our facilities.
