Hull Culture and Leisure are proud to work with Hull City Council and its partners on the Healthy Holidays Summer programme for 2025. Funded by Hull City Council and the Department of Education as part of the Holiday Activities and Food programme, Healthy Holidays Summer 2025 offers a range of different free and low-cost activities for young people and families across the summer holidays. Below you'll be able to find our Healthy Holidays sessions and more!
Places on our booked sessions are limited, so make sure you secure your place here! Please make sure to mention any allergies or dietary requirements in your booking as a free packed lunch is provided on all our booked courses.

Get confident in the gym this summer with our Teen Gym Sessions, part of the Healthy Holidays Programme.
Learn how to use cardio and weight machines safely and correctly, with expert instruction in a supportive and friendly environment.
- For young people aged 11 to 14
- Male, female, and mixed sessions available
- All participants will receive a free packed lunch
Whether you're new to the gym or looking to build your fitness, these sessions are a great place to start!
Whilst there are gendered versions of these sessions the gym will still be open to a public session at the same time.
Woodford Leisure Centre:
- Mondays, 3pm - 4pm (Mixed)
- Tuesdays, 3pm - 4pm (Female)
- Wednesdays, 3pm - 4pm (Male)
Build strength and confidence with our Teen Weights Sessions, part of the Healthy Holidays Programme.
These sessions provide expert instruction in the safe and correct use of free weights, helping young people learn proper technique in a supportive gym environment.
- For young people aged 15
- Male, female, and mixed sessions available
- All participants will receive a free packed lunch
Perfect for teens looking to get started with strength training the right way!
Whilst there are gendered versions of these sessions the gym will still be open to a public session at the same time.
Costello Stadium:
- Mondays, 1pm - 2pm (Mixed)
- Fridays, 10:30am – 11:15am (Female)
- Fridays, 11:30am – 12:15pm (Male)
Ready to push your limits? Join our Bootcamp class – a fast-paced, fun workout designed to build strength, stamina, and confidence.
- Open to young people aged 12 to 15 – no experience needed, just a willingness to give it your all!
- All participants will receive a free packed lunch, thanks to the Healthy Holidays Activities and Food Programme.
Come get active, stay strong, and feel great!

- Tuesdays, 5pm – 6pm
Take time to move, stretch, and reset with our calming yet energising Teen Yoga sessions – part of the Healthy Holidays Programme.
These sessions focus on building strength, flexibility, and mental clarity, helping teens improve posture, reduce stress, and develop a healthy mind and body.
- For young people aged 12 to 15
- All participants will receive a free packed lunch
No experience needed – just come as you are and enjoy some feel-good movement!
Albert Avenue Pools & Fitness:
- Tuesdays, 4pm – 5pm
Join Let’s Play! Netball in partnership with England Netball. Don’t miss your shot to sharpen your passing, shooting, and teamwork on the court this summer!

Our free junior swimming sessions are back this summer as part of Healthy Holidays 2025!
No booking needed – just turn up during the session, complete a quick Healthy Holidays form, and dive in.
- Free swimming for children and young people aged 15 and under.
- Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.
- Sessions can get busy, so we recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment!
