October Half Term
We have plenty happening across our leisure centres and zoos this half term! From ice skating, swimming and fun crafts, there is always something going on for the whole family to enjoy.
Halloween on Ice!
Get ready for a frightfully fun time at every public skate session this October half term! We are turning the rink into a spooky spectacle, complete with eerie lighting, haunting decorations, and all your favourite halloween hits playing throughout the week.
To wrap up the Halloween celebrations, we are hosting a special Disco Skate exclusively for juniors aged 11 to 17 years, 7.30pm to 9pm on Friday 31 October!
Whats to expect:
- Live DJ playing Halloween hits
- Disco lights, themed fun, glow sticks and more
- Costumes welcome - whether you are a creepy creature, witch or monster!

Boost your swim confidence!
Boost your swim confidence this half term by joining our Junior Swim Improver Courses!
Courses are open to any child between, the ages of 4 and 11, who is keen to develop their skills, the course is £29 and includes access to our public swimming across half term!

Get crafty at The Animal Education Centre and Pickering Park Aviary
Celebrate hedgehogs this half term as we shine a spotlight on native animal conservation! Join us for a week of fun, creativity, and learning with a range of hedgehog-themed activities for all ages:

- Holderness Hedgehog Charity at The Animal Education Centre, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Free Junior Swimming
Our free junior swimming sessions are back this October Half Term.
No booking needed – just turn up during the session, check in at reception, and dive in.
- Free swimming for children and young people aged 15 and under
- Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult
- Sessions can get busy, so we recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment!
Come make a splash this half term – we will see you at the pool!
