Healthy Holidays Winter
Hull Culture and Leisure are proud to work with Hull City Council and its partners on the Healthy Holidays Winter programme for 2025. Funded by Hull City Council and the Department of Education as part of the Holiday Activities and Food programme, Healthy Holidays Winter 2025 offers a range of different free and low-cost activities for young people and families across the winter holidays. Below you'll be able to find our Healthy Holidays sessions and more!

Our super popular Multisport Madness sessions are back!
Try a mix of exciting sports, make new friends, and discover the one that’s just right for you. Fun, active, and different every time – come join the madness! Designed for children aged 8 to 12, these sessions are funded by the Healthy Holidays Activities and Food Programme. All participants will receive a free packed lunch to keep them fuelled and ready for action.

Dive into beginner indoor kayaking session with Kingston Kayak Club— perfect for ages 8 to 15.
These sessions are delivered in partnership with Kingston Kayak Club (KKC) who are a friendly, family-focused club based at the Albert Avenue Pools & Fitness. The clubhouse sits beside the newly renovated lido, where they run outdoor and indoor paddling sessions all year round.
This session will be in the large pool indoors at Albert Avenue Pools & Fitness.
KKC provides top-quality size and age-appropriate equipment, making it easy and affordable for newcomers to get started. Participants will enjoy kayaking with a mix of instruction, seasonal games and plenty of fun—expect to get wet! It's important that all participants can swim confidently.
Thanks to Healthy Holidays Hull a free packed lunch will be provided for every child booked onto the session.

Free Junior Swimming 
Our free junior swimming sessions are back this Winter. No booking needed, just turn up during the session, check in with our receptionists and enjoy your swim. These sessions can be busy, so we recommend arriving before the session start time.

Please note that all children aged under 8 years must be accompanied by a paying adult. Please ensure you visit our swimming safety page to check the adult to child pool ratios for our swimming pools before you visit.
